The Cop Out Instagram Post

So there’s another bandwagon that I’ve jumped on and it’s Instagram.  I can’t help it; it’s cool.  I’ve always liked photography and there’s something fun about taking good pictures with your phone.  I mean, I love my dSLR but it’s not exactly the easiest thing to lug around when I’m on the go. And we won’t even talk about how I took it to a food & wine festival last summer and the mode dial still sticks.

I do find, however, that while food pictures look good on instagram, it’s the scenery photos that really shine.  And yes, in this cop out of a post, I’m going to post my favorite instagram pictures.

Obviously, I take about 50 million pictures of my dog every day.  I mean, he is really cute, you have to admit.

Mid-afternoon Kombucha break.  I really like the chia flavors even though I know a lot of people find them to be pretty gross.  What I don’t like, however, is how they have double the calories as the regular flavors.  Oh well, chia is good for you.

I wasn’t lying when I said the King of Pops is at every festival.  I wonder how many Kings there are now.  It started out as three people, but now I bet it’s more like 15.

We went to the Decatur Square last Saturday and found out that they have free music throughout the month of May.  Tons of families brought picnic baskets, blankets and chairs.  It was really cool.  I want to go back.  With a picnic basket, blanket and chair.

Is there any way to take instagram pictures but not bombard my feed with them?  Sometimes I just like using the filters but I don’t necessary need anyone to see them?

  1. Haha…I just jumped on that bandwagon too. Since Sunday night, I’ve already gotten addicted.

I tried that chia kombucha a few weeks ago and was NOT a fan…guess I’ll just stick to the original :-)

  2. I rarely use a filter ;) But I just LOVE instagram it rocks!

  3. I didn’t take a single non-Instagram pic at Blend. Laziness rocks.

If I just want to apply a pic for myself I load it and then delete it from the feed right away.

If you put your phone on airplane mode, you can still take the pics and they won’t post (according to my genius husband). I haven’t tried it myself though.

  5. I need to remember to use Instagram more. Currently 100% of my pictures on there are of my kids. Oops.

  6. This is a great post because now I can find you on instagram to start following you! I LOVE the filters and stuff! And seeing everyone’s pics — it’s like a sneak peak into your everyday lives. I kinda like that!

  7. That looks like a fun mini-fest at the square. I really enjoy outdoor gatherings, especially free ones.

And yes… your dog is uber cute.

  8. I love your pictures. I love instagram. I say keep it up, who cares how many you post. If others don’t want to see them, don’t look ;-) Right?! And how many cals are in those chia drinks? Do they fill you? Never tried them! But do love me some chia :)

  9. Yeah, I’m on the bandwagon as well. Though I was told last weekend that I’m kind of a failure at it, haha.

  10. I LOVE that last picture – it’s awesome. And I’m a huge fan of instagram, so glad they finally came to android. I don’t think we have all the filters you do on iPhone, but it’s still awesome. :)

  11. I’ve quickly become obsessed with instagram, too! I need to find you on there :)
Decatur is so cute! My friend got married there last fall and I didn’t realize what a cool little town it is.

  12. You take a million photos of your dog each day? How lame. :)
Your day looks awesome! They do free concerts in a park near my house on Sunday nights in the summer, and it’s SO nice to sit out there with a picnic.
