Yum Sushi

It’s been a long week.  It feels like it was weeks ago that I was in Raleigh, not just last weekend.  Last night, I got to spend time with one of my best blog buds – Tina. For ages we’d been talking about getting together for sushi and we finally made it happen.  We picked a place that was halfway in-between where I work and where Tina lives.  It was called Sushi House and was a real hole in the wall in a strip mall type of place.  When I got there, there was no one in the restaurant, but slowly and surely a few people started showing up.

We both got green salads with ginger dressing.  I have to say, this was not the best ginger dressing that I’ve had.  However, the sushi made up for it.  We decided to pick three rolls and share them, we had tuna avocado, rainbow roll and ocean roll.  Tina wasn’t a big fan of the masago in the ocean roll, but it didn’t bother me.

This was really some of the best tasting sushi that I’ve had in the Atlanta area.  It was extremely fresh tasting.  It started pouring while we were eating, so after we finished, we sat around for a while and chatted, waiting for the rain to stop.  Tina talked about her upcoming race and I talked about my period.  That’s normal, right?   Don’t answer that.
