It seems like just the other day I was preparing for my trip to Florida and now I’m back in Atlanta again. Oh right, it was just the other day. We left late Friday morning and got back this afternoon. A very quick trip but nice to see my family. Some highlights:
Dinner at Seawatch, my grandmother’s favorite restaurant and where she had her 90th birthday party last year. I had the swordfish.

Jason had the Mahi-Mahi.

It’s Jason’s birthday on Thursday, so he got a little something extra.

Family photos:

My grandmother lives in the city of Pompano Beach, but the actual beach is about a 15 minute drive away. Compared to the 5 hours it would take us to get to a beach from Atlanta, it seemed like nothing and we had to go.

The water was warm! And so was the sand. Jason burned his feet.

Add a trip to a deli with some cousins, dinner at Sweet Tomatoes and a trip to a flea market where I got some new sunglasses (not the ones pictured) and that was our short trip.

My parents are in Florida right now! They are buying a beach house for me to vacation in
Is that your mom in some of those pics? You guys look SO much alike. I know, I know… you must be related…
Yes, that’s my mom. She was visiting at the same time too.
Sometimes the short trips are better than long trips, looks like you had a great time
Seawatch looks GREAT! Yum — and happy birthday to Jason!
I think the ocean is always warm in Florida, lol. It’s grossest when it feels like bath water. Thankfully, we’re a little past that and it’s starting to “cool” a little bit.
Your swordfish looks yummy. Is that salsa on top?
I love that beach picture. Seems like you had a good mini vacation.
It was some sort of tomatoes mixed with basil and vinegar, I think.
Happy Birthday to Jason!
Happy bday to Jason!
Oooh I miss Florida. We went for a weekend in January to visit Greg’s mom, but I was sick with the flu and it was cold outside! We need a re-do.
What a fun little trip! you look great, love the pics and LOVE swordfish! happy birthday Jason!
Sounds like so much fun! I wish I’d made it to a beach this year.
